European Telecommunication Holding ETH AG offers the following telecommunications products and services via its three operating subsidiaries (Millenicom GmbH, Alovatan GmbH and Millenicom Turkey):

Call-by-Call – Long-distance telephone service whereby the user first dials a prefix code from a fixed-line telephone before dialing the destination number. The prefix provides the user with a lower calling charges than if the number was dialed directly via a standard provider. Use of the prefix on a call-by-call basis provides users economical rates without the need for them to change their local provider of telephone services

There are three different prefixes in Germany. Customers simply dial the prefix number (ETH’s Germany Prefix 01049, Millenicom`s Prefix 01073 or My Shop Services` Prefix 010049) before the destination telephone number and then complete the call via the selected operator.

ETH Group successfully started its CbC business in Turkey via its subsidiary Millenicom Turkey(prefix 1045) in late September 2007. The Company quickly became the dominant market leader in the CbC business in Turkey. The 1045 brand has become a high reputation brand in the Turkish CbC market with a loyal customer base which is more than 2.0m subscribers since launch.

Pre-Selection – Pre-selection allows end-users with a standard fixed-line telephone service to select a preferred (alternative) telephone operator by signing a contract. Service is primarily used by customers for their long distance calls and rarely for local calls.

The pre-selection business in Turkey is mainly targeted at SMB clients. Since the start of the business at the end of 2007 under the Millenicom brand, ETH has gained more than 30,000 SMB customers. As a pioneer in the Turkish pre-selection business, the Company is actively developing this sales channel. Customer acquisitions are mainly realized via exclusive partners (distributors, resellers, agents). Additionally, the Company has a direct sales organization focused on major accounts mainly located in the finance, insurance and manufacturing sectors.

Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO)- Mobile Virtual Network Operator uses an existing network infrastructure owned by a mobile network operator to offer its own branded mobile subscriptions and value-added services to end-users.

Millenicom offers, in cooperation with Vodafone, GSM prepaid cards with its own brand “mobi”. Mobi GSM is tailored for ethnic groups making predominantly international calls. The Company creates special GSM tariffs and sells starter packages via its reseller network and call shop channel.

Calling Cards – A calling card is prepaid card with a sealed identification number (PIN) that is primarily used to make long distance calls from fixed-line phones and rarely from cellular phones. ETH primarily distributes calling cards in Germany via resellers who distribute these cards to their sales channel (kiosks, groceries and call shops). Millenicom Turkey launched Turkey’s first calling card “Alocard” in 2004 and it is market’s most recognized brand. Calling cards are especially preferred by domestic and international tourists, soldiers, students and the ones that are willing to make reasonably priced intercity or international calls could be used throughout Turkey.

Call Shops – A call shop is a business that physically provides phones for primarily making long-distance telephone calls at discounted rates, typically in a small retail shop.

Millenicom GmbH is the leading call shop network and infrastructure provider in Germany and Central Europe. Under the brand of Millenicom, 1000 call shops in Germany and 80 in Austria are provided with software, hardware and even complete furniture (through outsourcing parties), if desired.

ETH Group offers its call shop business in Turkey via its subsidiary Millenicom Turkey with more than 250 call shops.

Carrier Business – Carrier Business is a telecommunications industry business where telephone operators buy and sell minutes from each other to connect their retail and wholesale customers’ calls around the globe.

Millenicom sells mainly Turkey fixed-line and mobile destinations to more than 70 world class carriers. Millenicom has the lowest possible cost base with regulated prices through direct interconnections with Turkish local operator and Turkish GSM companies. To address low margins and volatility in the markets, Millenicom focuses on telecommunications companies who have their own retail customers. Additionally, Millenicom focuses on buying minutes for its own retail customers.
